So a friend is making a costume and needed eyes for it. He's been playing with resin and made a couple little eye bases. I had fun with this and am looking forward to experimenting with other colors and patterns. ^_^

Yes, I am enjoying the lack of deadlines. A lot.
There was a minor bout of food poisoning and mostly I am just working on some writing. A friend and I are writing a story together and I have a lot of notes that I have been compiling. And you know what? A nap sounds nice. And you know what else? There is no reason for me not to enjoy one! YAAAAAAAAAAAAY! Ears done! Tail done!
Time for they eyes (and maybe nose... but probably just a couple big button eyes. ^_^ It is painfully fluffy - it took quite a bit of smoothing to make the ears visible at all through the fur. More tactile than obvious... Step one - Crochet a ball and a tail. Check!
Step two - Add ears, extend tail. (It's a lot fluffier than I originally thought it would be) Step three - sew on button eyes... maybe nose... I have to see if I have a good button for a nose... Step four - throw at wall and see if it survives. Yes - another project.
I'm going to crochet a round little kitty. It will have button eyes. Work has been tough lately for the husband's coworkers and one in particular (you know, the nice one who understands and cares and makes work better) has been getting the brunt of a lot of crap. I have decided that she needs a smile and a fluffy little kitty beanbag toy will be ideal. SO - Off I go to turn furry yarn into a cute projectile stress reliever ^_^ |
